I am posting a letter that i felt lead to write to a church that is close by me... After i wrote it i felt that the principles in it would be good for the blog. So heres that letter:
I greet you in the precious name of Jesus,
I would like to share biblical Christianity... Not the watered down impostor that America has embraced...And do i dare to say which satan has deceived many into believing and holding close to their still sinful hearts... O' how many of these professing "christians" have been mislead down that wide pathway to hell... How can i say such a thing right? I am being very judgmental right? Maybe even legalistic you may say… But I want to look at what the word of God says… Not what I say.
You see, writing this letter to you is a very dangerous thing, WHY? Well another preacher put it like this… its very dangerous for me because the word of God says that false teachers will undergo greater condemnation. You see, if what I write to you in this letter is not true then I am in great trouble and have every right to write these very words with fear and trembling, because I will stand before God Guilty and condemned… BUT… if what I write to you is true then YOU are the one with cause for fear and trembling, and your problem will not be with me but it will be with God and His word. So you must make a decision: am I a false teacher or am I writing you the truth… And if I am writing you the truth, then nothing else matters except conforming your life to that truth.
Lets look at what THE LORD JESUS (and not I) said in Matt 7:13-27 (KJV):
Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
So you see... Just because you call Jesus Lord don't mean that you are saved... Just because you said a prayer inviting Jesus in your heart don't mean that you are saved... Just because you do good things don't mean that you are saved... Just because you go to church don't mean that you are saved... Just because your a preacher, pastor, minister, etc. don't mean that you are saved... There is much more to it than that, much more.
I long to see a return to biblical Christianity... to see the church that we read about in the New Testament... Where is it???
Lets get back to the Bible and what IT teaches, instead of someone who spends more time preaching and teaching than reading and learning the very Word of God.
I mean… Do we today have a better understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ than the apostles did? He left them to start His Church, don’t you think that they knew how He wants it to be, and how He wants it to be ran and how He wants it to be built and how He wants it to be governed? He (Jesus) spent 3 years straight with them, praying, teaching and leading them… for what? To start His church and give ALL an example of how to live and how to represent Him and His church.
I’d like for us to look at a verse:
(KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Ti 3:16
Did the apostles write and teach things that God wanted them to teach, preach, and write? Or did they teach, preach, and write their own words? If their own words, then the New Testament is not inspired by God and therefore should be taken out of that book that we call “The HOLY Bible” because there is nothing HOLY about it, if its not from God … BUT, if the things that they teached, preached, and wrote is in fact the things that God wanted them to, then the New Testament IS inspired by GOD, and IS in fact HOLY, and IS in fact the word of God and should in fact be obeyed, because in obeying it you are in fact obeying GOD… Likewise, if you do not do the things that it teaches, your not disobeying customs and traditions of men, you are in fact DISOBEYING GOD!!!
I agree with your very own Monika Nikolova when she said: “Blessings always follow Obedience. The Bible says that if you obey you will eat the good of the land. It is so true, when we obey God, he always blesses us.“ in one of the blogs that she posted. I have listened to quite a few sermons preached from the Plainview Mennonite Church pulpit, and I see that obedience to the word of God is something that is encouraged from that pulpit… But, the bible says: (KJV) They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Tit 1:16
I would like to see God glorified by you, and by Plainview Mennonite Church, and by every single person that professes the great and beautiful name of my precious Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, that is my hearts desire with this letter and I write it from a heart filled with love for my GOD first and foremost, and for you as well.
The Bible says: (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jas 1:22
WHY?
(KJV) (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Rom 2:13
I want to see you receive all the blessings from my God and the Bible says that God gives the Holy Spirit to those that obey Him, therefore if you do not obey Him the scripture would imply that He will not give the Holy Spirit to you… If there was not this guideline then the Holy Spirit would be for them that even disobey God…(KJV) And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. Acts 5:32
I want to see you grow, and I want to see you filled with the Spirit of God… I want to see my Jesus get all the glory that He can from your life and mine and the only way that He can do that is through our obedience to His word.
Now, I feel lead by God and by Love to bring to your attention a few things where the word of God is not being obeyed by Plainview Mennonite Church…
1.) In 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 Paul says that women are to remain silent within the assembly:
(KJV) Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
In 1 Timothy 2:11-12 Paul says that women are not allowed to speak in the assembly. When a women has a question she is to ask her husband at home in private. In Paul’s letter to young Timothy he again makes it a point to mention that women are to obey their husbands and learn in quietness.
(KJV) Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
2.) Also Jesus said: (KJV) But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Mat 5:28
And Brother Paul also said: Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. 1Co 8:13
Why then do you not encourage your women in what Brother Paul said: In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1Ti 2:9
That way weak men (Christian and non-Christian alike) are not sinning in their heart every time a “Christian” women walks by. Because if we men were all honest (even us preachers) we can struggle when women pass us by and their very presence is a temptation used (by satan) to attack us. Do we want our sisters to be used by our enemy to cause others to sin and stumble?
These 2 things are the major things that at first glance go against the word of God… And I also felt lead to tell you this scripture as well:
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
What that has to do with you is between you and God.
Brethren, I do not count you as an enemy, the bible says: “And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.” 2Th 3:14-15
That word “admonish” in the original Greek is “noutheteo” to put in mind, that is, (by implication) to caution or reprove gently: - admonish, warn.
Please notice that I bring scripture to admonish you… and not opinion.
Again I love you and want to see you be all that you can be… IN CHRIST. Please understand, I am not putting down women, there is a lot that God does through women and there is a lot that God uses them for… But there is also things that are not for them, and for the men of God only… Seek Him, obey Him in all things, not because that’s what saves you… but because He saved you. His word is true, and is always good. May God bless you.
RESPECTFULLY,
A SOLDIER OF THE CROSS
